AMA Store wins national outstanding achievement accolade

The AMA's website for educational products and services, the AMA Store, has been awarded a 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award in the Interactive Media Awards, Inc. (IMA) competition.

The AMA Store received the award, the second highest in the e-commerce class, with a score of 471 out of 500 possible points. The AMA Store was one of just 12 other websites to earn this distinction among the 120 entries. Websites were judged in such categories as design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance.

Judged on a quarterly basis and held annually since 2006, the IMA competition is a contest for organizations and individuals involved in the development, management, promotion and support of websites. Entries are collected globally from numerous organizations, including Web design companies, advertising agencies, corporate marketing departments, individual Web designers and graphic artists.

The AMA Store, which launched its new website in April, has integrated user-friendly, easy-to-follow features that streamline the sales process for customers. The website now offers the convenience busy practices need, including:

  • Streamlined searching that makes finding products quick and hassle-free.
  • One-stop checkout that enables efficient purchase of everything from CPT® products to AMA membership.
  • Simpler navigation that makes it easy for physicians and practice staff to select the products that are right for their practices.
