How do I contact customer support?

How do I log in to the AMA Store website?

US Physicians and Medical Students: Current members of the American Medical Association may create a Members Only log-in for the AMA Web sites, which allows access to exclusive AMA Member content. Your AMA Member log-in will enable you to receive lower members-only pricing at the AMA Store. To set up an account, change your password or update any account information, go to the "Create an Account" link or "Sign-in" link.


AMA Store customers (includes non-member physicians): Customers may create an AMA Store account by going to the "Create an Account" link. Creating an account will enable you to save billing and shipping information for future orders. We will also create an order history for you so that you can easily track past purchases. You may update your account at any time by signing in to the AMA Store and selecting the "AMA Store Account" link.


How do I receive my AMA member discount?

All AMA members are eligible for discounts on AMA Store products. In order to receive a member discount you need to use an AMA Members Only US Physician/Student login. Please see the FAQ "How do I log into the AMA Store website?" for information about creating a new account.


Can I order on behalf of my AMA member physician?

Yes. You may order on behalf of an AMA member and receive member discounts. There are two ways that you may purchase on behalf of a physician. If the physician approves, you may use the physician's members-only username and password to log in to the AMA Store. However, the physician's login information is confidential and should not be shared with others on your staff unless specifically authorized by the physician.

If you do not have access to the physician's members-only username and password at the time of purchase, you may create a member proxy. To do this, start by creating an AMA Store account. Once the account is created, click on the "AMA Store Account" link in the "Your Account" drop down menu located in the upper right corner of the page. Then select the Assign Member Proxy for Discounts" on the Manage My Account page. In order to create a member proxy, you will need the physicians first and last name, date of birth, state. If you dont' have the Date of Birth, you may use the physicians ME# or NPI#.

What if my order contains a product with a future availability date?

The order will be shipped as products are available. Your credit card will be charges at the time that the order is shipped.


How do I use a coupon or promotional code?

After you have added products to your shopping cart and you may enter the discount code in the box in the lower left portion of the page. Located next to the box is the phrase "Enter Promotion Code." Be sure to click on the "Apply" button.

Note: Special Offers and all promotional codes are available for customers that purchase from the AMA directly (excludes wholesale/resellers and bookstores) and cannot be combined with other offers or packages.


How do I add or remove items from my shopping cart?

When viewing a product detail page, you may add items to your cart by entering a quantity in the box and clicking the "Add to Cart" button. If you need to change a quantity while in the shopping cart, enter the new quantity in the box and hit the "Update" button. If you want to remove an item from your shopping cart, simply click the "Remove" link.


Is my order safe and secure?

AMA Store Online Catalog uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect web communications. The SSL security protocol encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, and information associated with your profile (i.e. name, address, etc.) so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. Because SSL is built into all major browsers and web servers, the AMA's digital certificate enables SSL capabilities.

The shipping and handling rates listed in the rate table below are for shipments to the 48 contiguous states. If you are ordering for any destination outside these states (including international addresses) or require expedited shipment (next day or 2nd day air), please contact our Service Center at 800 621-8335 (AMA Members Only call 800 262-3211). Please Note: Shipping charges do not apply to downloadable products or e-Books.

Does the AMA Store ship to P.O. Boxes?

Street addresses are preferred for faster, trackable delivery by United Parcel Service. All orders to a P.O. Box/Drawer, APO, FPO, Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped via U.S. Mail or parcel post.


Do you offer express shipping?

We do not offer express shipping for online orders at this time. If you are ordering for any destination outside these states (including international addresses) or require expedited shipment (next day or 2nd day air), please contact our Service Center at (800) 621-8335 (AMA Members Only call (800) 262-3211).

How do I download Data Files?

A link to download the Data File will be provided on the order confirmation. Clicking the link will bring up a dialogue box giving you the option to save or open the file. Click, "Save" and choose a location to save the file on your computer.

You may also access your downloadable purchase by logging into your AMA Store account and viewing your order history. We highly recommend that customers download and save the files to their computers. The AMA reserves the right to remove downloadable products from the AMA Store at any time.

ASCII files are flat text files that are easily imported into your practice management or billing system. A search mechanism is not included.
